Which Greek island is best for a luxury stay?
Santorini for the caldera view and the short, dramatic stay. Mykonos for design hotels and a livelier evening. Crete for the largest resort spas and enough to do for a full week. Corfu if you want green, quiet and a shorter flight.
When should I go for a five-star Greek break?
May, June, September and early October give you the weather without August's crowds and peak rates — and the caldera hotels in particular are far better value either side of high summer.
