What Retreat48 is

Retreat48 is a free trip-planning service operated from the United Kingdom. Tell it what you need from time away and it assembles suggested breaks — a checked stay, the sensible way to get there, and ideas for what to do nearby. Using the site means you accept these terms; if you don’t accept them, please don’t use the site.

Retreat48 in ChatGPT

ChatGPT can call Retreat48’s travel-planning tools and present Retreat48 recommendations in a conversational form. Retreat48’s engine remains responsible for the destination, stay, season and itinerary data returned by those tools, while OpenAI operates the ChatGPT interface and may summarise or format the response. If a conversational answer and the structured Retreat48 details differ, confirm the important details with Retreat48 and the relevant provider before relying on them.

The ChatGPT App is for discovery and planning. It does not take payment or complete a travel booking inside ChatGPT. Any permitted booking handoff is external and remains subject to the partner terms described below.

Estimates, live prices and the Trip Score

The plans we build combine live data with careful estimates, and we label which is which. Anything marked “est.” — travel costs, parking, taxi fares, modelled flight timings, estimated stay totals — is a good-faith approximation to help you plan, not a quote. Anything marked “live” comes from a partner’s feed at the time shown and can still change by the time you book. The Trip Score and our “why this one” reasons are our own editorial assessment built from the data we describe on the Trip Score page. Always confirm the details that matter — price, availability, flight times, opening hours — with the provider before you commit money.

Bookings are made with our partners, not with us

Retreat48 doesn’t sell travel and doesn’t take payment. When you book a stay or a flight, you leave Retreat48 and complete the booking on a partner’s site (for example a hotel booking site reached via Stay22, or Aviasales for flights). Your contract is with that provider or agent; their terms and cancellation rules apply; and any changes, refunds or complaints about the booking are handled by them. We may earn a commission on bookings made through our links, described in how we earn — it never changes the price you pay.

Your travel is your responsibility

You’re responsible for the practicalities of your own trip: passports, visas, entry requirements, health advice and travel insurance, and for judging whether activities we suggest are suitable for you and your party.

Our content

The text, design, scores and data presentation on Retreat48 belong to us or our licensors; hotel photographs and descriptions are licensed from our travel-data suppliers. You’re welcome to share links to any page. You may not copy the site’s content at scale, scrape it, or republish it commercially without permission.

Fair use of the service

Please don’t misuse the site — no attempts to disrupt it, probe it for vulnerabilities, overload it with automated traffic, or use it for anything unlawful.

Availability and liability

We work hard to keep Retreat48 accurate and available, but it is provided “as is”: we can’t promise it will always be online, error-free, or that every third-party feed will be right. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence). Beyond that, we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on estimates, from third-party services and bookings, or from events outside our reasonable control; the service is free, and our total liability in connection with it is limited accordingly.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms as the service evolves; the date above shows the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction — though if you live elsewhere in the UK or EU you keep any protections your local law gives you.
