We are not here to show you every possible option. Retreat48 looks for a strong combination of quality, guest feedback, location, travel time and suitability for the trip.
We would rather show you a small number of places we can stand behind than hundreds of loosely matched results. Once we have found a suitable stay, we build the rest of the break around it — with practical travel, restaurants, cafés, walks and experiences nearby.
The whole trip matters
A beautiful hotel does not necessarily make a good short break. A slightly closer stay may give you several more usable hours. A well-located hotel may mean better restaurants within walking distance. A sensible return journey can make the difference between arriving home restored and arriving home exhausted.
