Free for you, paid by partners

Retreat48 is free to use and takes no payment from travellers. We make money the same way most travel-planning services do: when you book through one of our links, the booking partner pays us a commission. For stays, our booking button goes via Stay22, which shops your hotel across booking sites such as Booking.com and Expedia; for flights, our links go to Aviasales through the Travelpayouts partner network. The commission comes out of the partner’s margin — you pay exactly the same price as you would going to their site directly.

It never affects what we recommend

Every stay is scored the same way — quality signals, fit with what you asked for, and how practical the journey is — before any commercial consideration, and the Trip Score page explains exactly what goes into it. We show the same recommendation whether or not a booking link earns us anything, and no hotel, airline or booking site can pay to appear or to rank higher.

How you’ll know

Booking links that can earn us commission open on the partner’s site, and we repeat this disclosure beneath our results. If you’d rather book directly, every trip page also links straight to the hotel’s own website where we have it — with no tracking tag.
